Giveaways are great!

I've always loved entering contests, even though I generally don't win. One of the most exciting things we've ever won was when David was about 6 and won a lawnmower in a drawing at an earth day thing at Willamette University. It was such a shock just because we hadn't remembered him entering plus we didn't have a working lawnmower at the time.

The other neat contest we won was a baking contest at the state fair a few years back. Brian was out of work, and we wanted to take the kids to the fair. One way to get in was to enter the daily contests. I made my huckleberry cinnamon rolls and won first place- a ribbon, coupons and $150! Needless to say, it was pretty exciting that day!

Anyway, part of something I discovered on Pinterest is giveaways. Of course, I haven't won anything, but you never know! Most of these are for terrific items. The main reason for this post is to share that
